About the topic
The construction industry is facing growing challenges in project design and execution due to increasing complexity, higher owner expectations, and stricter regulations. The rise of Industry 4.0 has spurred a revolution in construction, known as “Construction 4.0,” driven by advanced information and digitization technologies. This evolution focuses on enhancing efficiency, sustainability, and quality. This presentation will explore key technologies like Building Information Modelling (BIM), Digital Twins, Construction Robotics, Reality Capture, 3D Concrete Printing, and Digital Fabrication, showing how they are transforming the industry. Through case studies from the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) sectors, the speaker will highlight how these innovations are addressing current challenges and paving the way for the future. Finally, we will touch on “Construction 5.0” and its long-term impact on the workforce and built environment, offering insights into the potential for revolutionizing construction.
